How do you equip people in your congregation to rediscover the Bible and its power to change lives and speak to us today?

Luther Seminary is pleased to partner with the ELCA Book of Faith Initiative to bring together lay leaders, teachers, pastors and church staff for a three-day conference preceeding the 2009 Churchwide Assembly in Minneapolis.

Through presentations, conversation and practical takeaways, this conference will inspire and equip you to lead your congregation in reading the Bible to live into their callings as people renewed, enlivened, empowered and sent by the Word.

- Eugene Peterson: author, The Message: The Bible in Contemporary Language; Professor Emeritus of Spiritual Theology, Regent College, Vancouver
- David Anderson: Director of Congregational Renewal and Leadership, The Youth & Family Institute; author, Frogs without Legs Can’t Hear: Nurturing Disciples in Home and Congregation
- Deanna Thompson: Associate Professor & Religion Department Chair, Hamline University, St. Paul
- Rolf Jacobson: Associate Professor of Old Testament, Luther Seminary; author, Crazy Talk: A Not-So-Stuffy Dictionary of Theological Terms

And Larry Clark, Executive Director of Lutheran Theological Center in Atlanta, is our first confirmed preacher.

. . . and workshops galore!
