Book of Faith

My favorite Scripture in this regard is from the 14th chapter of Paul's letter to the Romans. Paul basically tells us not to look down on our Christian brothers and sisters who have different ideas than we do, for if we do, we are a stumbling block to our Christian brothers' and sisters' faith. I read it beyond simply other denominations, and include all of God's children. Why do we need to judge one another so harshly? It is not our place. We are called as Christians to love our neighbor. That means regardless of whether our neighbor is Unitarian, Quaker, Jewish, Muslim or agnostic. We are simply called to love them where they are.

I am challenged by fundamentalists in any religious group, because it seems that is when love your neighbor becomes secondary to they must believe as I believe, then we lose focus of God.

The challenge lies in discussing our disagreements in respectful ways that allow for differences.

sometimes I get so involved with what I believe that I don't leave room for other peoples opinion. These verses can be used not how we show respect to others religious beliefs but how we react to people in our daily lives. Thanks
