Book of Faith

I just attended a workshop on Biblical storytelling and fell in love with the art form. I am looking for others who practice this art form and live in MN, Eastern ND or Eastern MN. I am not yet a member of the Network of Biblical Storytellers but am looking to find some local people so I can learn more.

Hi, Eunice,
This is my very first comment on a social networking site. I joined today just so I could reply to your request. I am a graduate of the School of Sacred Storytelling in Hagerstown,Maryland. We are different from NOBS in that the method of telling is different. As I understand it, the NOBS tellers attempt to memorize the Bible to 90% accuracy. We enhance the story, adding what may have been told on the white sections of the pages. We may tell stories from third person, first person, or from the point of view of an inanimate object. I find it to be more fun than just memorization. It's probably easier, too. If you would like more information, you can go to www.schoolofsacredstorytelling.info. There may be online courses available, if you don't want to go to Maryland. Good luck in your pursuit.
