Hi Dave,
I'm trying to get the word out that we have a whole lot of room left for the June session at Luther Seminary. So far, only 28 are registered. If you know of anyone interested in attending, please invite/encourage them to sign up! Thanks.

Yes, we are still interested in info regarding setting up a website for the SLM. We did an easy group on the BoF site for the NE MN School of Lay Ministry but it would be nice to have a separate one that could be linked to the Synod website. Are you planning to attend the 2 day session in March at Luther? If so, maybe we could chat some more about it. Thanks.

Hi David,
Our School of Lay Ministry Steering Committee will be meeting on Thursday, Feb. 19th in the afternoon. If you could please turn in a quote for an SLM web-site set-up & maintenance before then, that would be great. Thanks!

David,
Real paper would be good so that I have something to present to the Steering Committee. Thanks!

Hi David, I'm looking for some info from you (preferably on paper) as to your offer to set up our School of Lay Ministry website, monthly maintenance fee, etc. It would be greatly appreciated! Also, we would the NE MN Synod School of Lay Ministry to become a part of the Book of Faith. Any help/info you can relay this direction would be very helpful!

Book of Faith at the synod level is at what I call strategic phase. This year's Lay Leader Extravaganza as well as Synod Assembly will both have Book of Faith emphasis of engaging/reengaging scripture with Lutheran methods. We are training lay leaders at the end of this month so that they can lead small group breakouts at Lay Leader's Extravaganza.

How the synod encourages congregations to participate in Book of Faith is yet to be determined. Right now we're just trying to educate on what the initiative is and what the resources will be that can support Bible reading in congregations and homes.

Lot's going on, but not much on the front page yet. thanks for your interest.

Hey. I'm the NE MN Synod book of faith advocate. I'm glad to see you're up and running on this site! Feel free to join the NE MN Synod Group to keep in contact with those in our area who are joining the BoF.
