David,
I hope to be able to pick up tomorrow where we left off in the midst of cellphone difficulties.
The broad sweep of similar programs I'd like to see get started as a "series" needs to start off with a few good success stories. (That's where you and AFP come in!)
David, do you know the size of the print in the Lutheran Study Bible? I am getting a lot of questions regarding a large print version and when I tell them it won't be out for awhile they ask about print size.
David: It was nice meeting you in Chicago over the last several weeks and i look forward to your participation in the Jan. 24, 2009 event. Blessings, Darlene
Opening the Bible by Robert Kysar is a good resource but UNFORTUNATELY it is recently gone out of print at Augsburg/Fortress. They need to do a new printing and offer it again.
There's an option that enables you to email your message. You're funny. Of course, I can't tell you how I got there. I'm in Somonauk, IL. Do you know it? Arrived yesterday, still have some unpacking to do.

What is most challenging about engaging in Scripture?
Giving it "quality time" within my busy life- especially since I know by experience that the Spirit's inside-out effects can transform my moments and my days from dissipation to discipleship, from vacilliation to vocation.
Share a Bible passage that is especially meaningful to you.
I love the Nehemiah 8:10 passage which reminds us what our encounter with God's Word should ultimately inspire: "for the joy of the LORD is your strength."
