Great news for social networking fans who like the Bible: Logos launched a new website today that makes it easy to create short Bible links. Here's part of their promo material:

I tried the missional reading in a fairly advanced Bible study group this week (without any of the BoF resources) and used the Matt 6 text for Ash Wednesday. It went great, and the discussion of how to missionally practice your faith in private was fun to see.
I love your piece on Missional Reading in the IC class forum. I think I'll use it with the 4 approaches when I teach "Opening the Book of Faith". Thanks for all your work.
Greg Isaacson here. Just wanted to let someone know that Augsburg Fortress is having delivery issues with the Lenten Journey book. I ordered my book in November. After two phone calls, I didn't get it until mid-January. I went to Luther Sem bookstore to purchase 20 and they hadn't received any for purchase. I just ordered an additional 20 through their phone order and I'm told it will be two weeks!
I know AF is having issues but I'm concerned this could damage a good start to Book of Faith.
Thank you Diane. Because of the book of faith and our time at Gustavus I have been preparing a brief bible study for each committee meeting and church council. I use the same one for the whole month and will have a new one for the november meetings. They have been received very well. Thanks again. Dave Aaker
Diane, I have just returned from Pastor to Pastor at Gustavus. Your presentation and Nathan Frambach from Wartburg are indeed a shot in the arm for me. I am excited to read again, Book of Faith and explore some options for opening the Word to my people here. Like, brief Bible Study at the beginning of Council, etc. Thank you. Thank you. Thank God. Thanks for sharing with us your excitement and love for the word. Dave A.
Hi Diane - We started a Saint Paul Area Synod group and we would love to have you "join our conversations" whenever you get a chance. Thanks for all your work on this initiative. SARA
We're working on an "every night in every home" approach to nightly faith talk/caring conversations and have some fun new resources, family journals, cartoons, online games, scripture songs and sign language about to be released that could add some color, fun, life and energy to the initiative. Let me know if you'd like to talk about how we could be helpful.
Book of Faith is an ongoing initiative of the ELCA that will grow and develop—including resource options for you and your congregation. Be the first to know about upcoming resources and sign up for Book of Faith resource eUpdates.
