Hello Gene,
Though we haven't put in the paper work - we will be joining St. John Lutheran on Brambleton Road. St. Timothy in Vinton would be closer, but they had NO high school kids at all and since I do, it just wouldn't be a good fit for my son. St. John holds a traditional and contemporary service at the same time each Sunday in addition to an earlier morning worship and Sunday evening. In the traditional, they actually come at kneel at the altar for communion. I have been doing the pass-by intinction for so long I forgot how wonderful it is to kneel. Little things like that are important to me. Anyway - let me know when you might be around.
Peace,
Linda
Greetings, Gene!
Just joined by invitation from Jacqui. Hope all is well.
Peace,
Linda

Hi Gene,
Finally! I'm getting to you. Things have been just too busy.
As to getting together, Thursday, Oct. 2 is best.
You could come by the church here; or if you're at the Synod office, I could meet you there. Whatever works best. Late morning is best that day for me.
Gene,
Great to see you at Fall Convo this week. I look forward to working with you on projects and events in the future!

Our synod looks forward to working with the BOOK OF FAITH and if I can be of any assistance as the Director of the SC Synod Resource Center, please let me know. I hope to be able to meet you at some time.
I met Irene at your last synod assembly. I'd like to schedule a meeting soon with you. I'll give you a call to compare calendars.
My proposed approach for BOF is to meet with the various conferences in the Synods in the coming year to hear the plans and to share AF resource possibilities.
Thanks Gene. I'm having lunch tomorrow with Irene Flynn, here at the Synod House in Tampa. We've got several requests/ideas going on already at the Synod level.
If we can do something at the Region 9 level, that'd be great. Maybe bishop's school in '09. (My son Lukas, attended in June of '08 this year and had a GREAT time there.) My only caveat in all this (I can see) is the time element. I'm Sr. Pastor at a parish, and my plate is already full. (That's not a complaint at all...just statement of fact.)
It'd be great to meet personally sometime!
