Hi Holly...good to see one more South Dakotan registered on BOF.
If you've done any browsing on the site, you've seen the Minnesotans are WAY ahead of us! I have found so many great resources on BOF, and am excited about the potential it holds for
getting Lutherans more involved in Bible Study. I am a member of Trinity Lutheran in Yankton, and I have found that my own faith grows by leaps and bounds when I am participating in a group Bible study. Right now our small group is reading Ephesians together. We plan to study Acts next...and it has been suggested that before that, we should probably read Luke together, since Acts is a continuation of that...same author. I am hoping that some of the BOF information given out at Synod Assembly last week may serve as a catalyst for more activity at the synod level.
So far it has been sparse...but I'm looking for more to happen this fall. I hope you will join the SD Synod group. It is by invitation only (I don't get that!)...but, hey, I'll send you an invitation! You will see that I posted an internet Bible Study on Philippians. I really enjoyed doing it, and perhaps we'll do something similar for fall. Welcome to BOF. You'll find some pretty interesting VIDEOS under that section...and some great conversations and blogs too.
