Plain sense, as in your challenge in engaging Scripture is a heck of a goal. Sometimes the parishioners keep us grounded.
I see that Sara Jensen, Barb Spaulding and Paul Stone are in the network now - shall we invite them to the Western Iowa group?

Do you know the international Roman Catholic church is having a Synod on the Bible? They seem to be just a step behind us, but as I read, there are many creative things from having an international perspective. I'll have to come up with some particulars.

Good question Chris. Steve works as a river ranger on the Missouri River and is often gone over night. While he's away my schedule gets very weird. Our daughter Meg just left after being here a few weeks too - so missing my 19 year old baby was keeping me up too. How is life for you and your husband in Iowa?

This really great--Marty was my husband's intern supervisor in 1976, in Menominee, Mich. And he and Lola are the godparents for both our boys Michael and Timothy. Which son are you married to? and where are Marty and Lola. I was ordained in 2007 and Bob is retired. This is just too good to believe that through the Book of Faith initiative I would find the Ruges!!! WHere in Iowa are you from?
