What is most challenging about engaging in Scripture?
The most awesome thing about Scripture is that the mystery never ends. Since I was 10 years old the Scriptures have drawn me in emotionally, intellectually and spiritually. They are the source and center of my vocation as teacher and my ministry as a pastor.

"The Lord, the Lord, a God merciful and gracious, slow to anger, and abounding in steadfast love and faithfulness" (Exodus 34:6; repeated over 200 times in the Hebrew Scriptures)
"Hear, O Israel: The Lord is our God, the Lord alone. You shall love the Lord with all your heart, and with all your soul, and with all your might. In general (on the wider site) there's a lot of reading that can be done in the Conversations. In the synod, nothing is going on, as I still waiting through the synod office restaffing. We're about to get back up and going (after assembly) and I'll use the SE Iowa Group to get people on board again.
