What are some other ways to use the Lords name in Vain other than just cursing?

Sabbath day is a vital thing if we profess that we are a follower of Jesus. the Bible confirms it, Ex. 20:8. Ezek. 20:12; 20;20, Luke 4:16, Heb. 4:4 and many more. some say that it is only for the Jews well, its a little bit confusing, only christia…

I as a man would like to know who in this congregation would turn these two little children out into the cold world to be punished for my sins or the sins of my wife? I would love to think that not one of you would say a bad word about my family and…

To me the sabbath day is a symbol of entering into the rest that God has given us through Jesus. I find that resting in God is a daily exercise. I get this from Heb 4:9-10 "There remains, then a Sabbath-rest for the people of God; for anyone who en…

I believe the point is taking time for a Sabbath - daily, weekly, monthly... each day you need to return to the source of your strength - God and His Word. It's not about setting aside Saturday for Sabbath - but if that works for you then great, do…

it was constantine who changed the 7th day sabbath of God to Sunday who is he? as we know in history he is criminal he slaughtered many people who do you believe him or God who commanded to sanctify the seventh day and holy it, its your decision.

but doesn't it say "rememver THE sabbath day and make it holy?

I think more important than deciding which is the "true" sabbath day is making sure that we take the time for what sabbath means. It's from a Hebrew word that basically means "to cease." God may have rested on the seventh day. But what's the seventh…

Genesis 2:3 says "Then God blessed the seventh day and sanctified it, because in it He rested from all his work which God had created and made". then there is Exodus 16:23-30 "Exo 16:23 And he said unto them, This is that which the LORD hath said, T…

Thank you for your input I feel the same as you but I also have the dilema of keeping the sabath day holy. I know that the Bible says not to forsake the assembling of yourselves together. but is it wrong to do it on Sunday and not Saturday?

What is most challenging about engaging in Scripture?
Keeping up with my bible study. It allways seems that there is something else that needs your attention.
Share a Bible passage that is especially meaningful to you.
For by your words you will be justified, and by your words you will be condemned. Mathew 12:37
I as a man would like to know who in this congregation would turn these two little children out into the cold world to be punished for my sins or the sins of my wife?
I would love to think that not one of you would say a bad word about my family and I but I know in my heart that’s not the truth. Because we all fall short of the glory of God. Romans 3:23

In the book of Mathew chapter 5: verse 41-42
41. And whoever compels you to go with him one mile, go with him two miles
42. give to him who ask of you, and to him who wants to borrow from you do not turn away.
Now what does that really mean to you in your heart? I mean to dig down deep and take a good look into your soul and see what you would do. Would you go that extra mile? Would you even go the first one?

Now some of you might say well look at what he did or look at what she did or they did together but isn’t that judging me or us or them?
In the book of Luke chapter 6:Verse 37-43
37. Judge not and you shall not be judged. Condemn not and you shall not be condemned. Forgive, and you will be forgiven.
38. Give and it will be given to you; good measure, pressed down, shaken together, and running over will be put into your bosom for with the same measure that you use it will be measured back to you.
39. And he spoke a parable to them:
“Can the blind lead the blind? Will they not both fall into the ditch?
40. “A disciple is not above his teacher but everyone who is perfectly trained will be like his teacher.
41. “And why do you look at the speck in your brother’s eye but do not perceive the plank in your own eye”
42. Or how can you say to your brother. “Brother let me remove the speck that is in your eye. When you yourself do not see the plank that is in your own eye” Hypocrite! First remove the speck that is in your brothers’s eye so that you may see clearly to remove the speck that is in his eye.
So why do we judge others? Is our flesh? Do we not have anything better to do with our days than to talk bad about someone and what they have done rather than to do the will of our Father who art in heaven.?

Let’s say that you wouldn’t turn these two small children out into the cold world to be punished for our sins. What then? Would you be here at this church cackling away like a bunch of old hens about what you’ve done for my kids. Or are they Gods Children? I’d like to think that all the little babies of the world are the Lords blessing to us all. But remember to take heed of your deeds, it says so in the book of Mathew 6:1-4
1. Take heed that you do not do your charitable deeds before men, to be seen by them. Otherwise you have no reward from your father in Heaven.
2 Therefore, when you do a charitable deed, do not sound a trumpet before you as the hypocrites do in the streets. That they may have glory from men. Assuredly, I say to you, they have their reward.
3. But when you do a charitable deed, do not let your left hand know what your right hand is doing.
4. “That your charitable deed may be in secret; and your Father who sees in secret “will reward you openly.

Mathew 10: 40-42
40, He who receives you receives Me, and he who received Me receives him who sen Me.
41. He who receives a prophet in the name of a prophet shall receive a prophet’s reward and he who receives a righteous man in the name of a righteous man shall receive a righteous man’s reward.
42. And whoever gives one of these little ones only a cup of cold water in the name of a disciple, assuredly, I say to you, he shall by no means lose his reward.
So in this I say to take heed not only in your actions but in your words for the tongue is the smallest member of the body but 1. Jam 1:26 If anyone among you thinks he is religious, and does not bridle his tongue but deceives his own heart, this one's religion [is] useless.
1. Jam 3:6 And the tongue [is] a fire, a world of iniquity. The tongue is so set among our members that it defiles the whole body, and sets on fire the course of nature; and it is set on fire by hell.
2. So I say to you all in good faith and with all the love I have in me for what is right in the sight of the Lord..........
1. 1Jo 3:18 My little children, let us not love in word or in tongue, but in deed and in truth.

Eight Ugly Truths About Human Nature

. People see what they want to see, hear what they want to hear,
and pride themselves on their objectivity.

. We should never hesitate to ask for help, as many will agree to
provide it. But we must never count on it to arrive, as few will
actually do so.

. Our highest moral values are those we feel we’re being judged on
at any given moment.

. The most prized thing in people’s lives is the solution to
whatever problem they currently face.

. Saying the first thing off the top of one’s head… Continue

"The big Lie"

The Big Lie

All of your life, you've been lied to.

You've been told what life is supposed to be about. Grow up, do well in school, make
friends, get a girlfriend or boyfriend, get a good job, get married, get a nice house and
have kids. Watch tv, go to church, vote, find some hobbies to entertain you. Donate
money to charity. Go on vacation. Get old, retire, spend time with the grandkids. Look
back on your life with nostalgia, look forward to the afterlife of your choosing.

This is what you'r… Continue
