Our congregation is small and we had trouble finding a fill in Pastor when our 1/2 time pay /full time work semi retired Pastor is gone !!
He mentored several of us and we now use lay people to fill in !!
the 14th of june will be my 3rd attempt!! I had several ideas wraped around Mark 4:26-34 but was looking for something to tie the seed parable to getting our congregation more involved ,,then along came our conversation ,and with your permission I would like to use your confirmation /faith formation idea in my sermon ???
Your ideas and comments tie in perfectly !!
I asked God for some ideas and he gave me you !!

I'm not for sure what this is, but I figured if you sent it, it must be safe. Yes, it would be nice if we had several from our church on it.

Patsy,

We have two wonderful interm pastors right now. Pastor Greg is awesome and helping all of us work together. Pastor Chon lifts all of us and is empowering us in wonderful ways. She and I just did a Created by God workshop for parents and their children in 5th & 6th grade. It was wonderful. God is working at SOV and I praise his name...........Love, Shirley

My Mom's a Gremmel (Ella Marie). Her sisters Aleen Schlansky and Eleanora Ratliff are still there. There are a lot of cousins around, too.

Hello Pastor Patsy Koeneke,
I have been wondering what this Book of Faith is all about. Lita Johnson had asked me to join and I didn't know what I was doing. What a pleasure to receive a note from you. I am still here at SOV and enjoy working with the children. Just returned from Family Camp. A young nine year old boy asked to spend some time talking about First Communion with his mother and myself. He ended up having his First Communion at Family Camp early Sunday morning. It was a blessing to all the families there in addition to his family. God is so good to us.

David now has an electric scooter, has lost about 60 pounds and is enjoying life so much more. Time to get to work. Love, Shirley
