Welcome back. I am looking forward to hearing about your experiences with the bishop's trip. Our School of Lay Ministry students have had some exposure to the Israel/Palestine conflict via Luther Seminary Life-Long Learning weeks. (especially when Peter Sethre was there) I highly recommend Mitri Raheb's book "I Am a Palestinian Christian" for everyone. It really helps to put some things into perspective. Several of us also had the opportunity to hear Dr. Nuha Khoury speak about 8 years ago at Luther. What an eye opening time that was. The people there continue to be in our prayers. Was Rod Schofield from Colorado along on the trip? He has served as a contact person with the ELCA and our brothers & sisters in Christ in the middle east. (He's actually been in Cook before!) Blessings to you -
