If you are not interested in chatting and would like to appear offline, click the green dot and you will make yourself disappear from the chat box (the dot will then be red). You will also see the words "Book of Faith | Disconnected".

Augsburg has just posted free preaching & liturgical helps online (hymn suggestions, liturgies, prayers). These new series follow the lectionary. They are usually broken down into three or six week segments that may be used for preaching series (alternative to preaching five week about Jesus as "bread of life" this summer). There are also complimentary workbooks (for leaders and participants) that can be used for small group ministries or Bible studies.

This first series (seven weeks) begins July 12th and is based on seven week lectionary lessons in Ephesians. The overall theme is ways God enables good churches to become extraordinary churches. The preaching and liturgical resources are designed to make life easier for parish pastors. Details at http://www.augsburgfortress.org/store/item.jsp?isbn=0806695951&productgroupid=0&clsid=196912&infoid=22157

The next series (three weeks) begins September 6th. It is based on Proverbs. The preaching and liturgy supports (free downloadable PDFs) are for God's Standard or Gold Standard: Studies in Proverbs. http://www.augsburgfortress.org/store/item.jsp?isbn=0806695986&productgroupid=0&clsid=197628&infoid=22407

Later materials will be available for "Questions for Jesus: Studies in Mark" (six week series) begins October 4th.

There are also DVD's introductions for each session that be use as guides for leaders or intro for small group.

Kudos... Augsburg!
