Book of Faith

At Bethany, Cherry Hills Village, CO, we were pleased to hear THE WORD from Dr. James Echols, president of the Lutheran School of Theology at Chicago (LSTC). What a great morning and aid to our faith formation at Bethany. Dr. Echols had a lively take on the Johannine text and later some of us were priviledged to share lunch and conversation with him. It reaffirmed my contention that our seminaries are vitally involved in the faith formation process, and we even talked a bit about encouraging young people, even pre-college, to think about careers in ordained ministry. A great Sunday!

And next Sunday we continue our faith formationm journey with Dr. Mark Ramseth, president of Trinity Seminary, as guest preacher. I think these people like to get into the parish and I encourage invitations to them all over the country. They like to get THE WORD out and do it in a very exciting manner.
