Book of Faith

This video documents a Holy Land pilgrimage led by Luther Seminary student Kathy Adam. The group of Minnesota Lutherans visited Jerusalem, Bethlehem and other places in Israel and the West Bank.

Filmed during the January 2009 fighting in Gaza, the video shows us a look at the lives of average people living near the war zone. While never in any personal danger, the group experienced the war in Gaza through the eyes of many Palestinian families.

The following video is a compilation of footage and interviews I recorded during our time in the Holy Land.

Jim,
No cheering for Hamas from my corner. My time was spent with Palestinian Christians who have nothing to do with Hamas. Both sides need to put down their weapons and embrace non-violence.

How nice it must be to view the world through rose colored glasses! It is too bad that this video does not mention that the intolerant Hamas Charter calls for the destruction of Israel. Directly quoting the charter’s introduction: “Israel will arise and remain erect until Islam eliminates it as it had eliminated its predecessors.”

And one wonders why there’s a problem in Gaza!

This is great. I am going to Israel in a few weeks and feel I have more knowledge and a glimpse to what I will see and experience.
